abandon theme parks

The theme park that I would want to visit the most of the two articles, would be the one in Pripyat, Ukraine. I would like to visit to take pictures because of the how the town that was abandoned in minutes is prevailing with plant life and nature. The style of abandonment allowing nature to reclaim its previous homes after many years fascinates me and I would like to try to capture that fascination onto photo-film.

Five other places that would be interesting and unusual for me to shoot could probably include Socotra in the Republic of Yemen; the Cubic Houses in Rotterdam, Netherlands; the Ice Hotel in Sweden; the Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz, California; and the McMurdo Dry Valleys in Antarctica.

The place that I would want to shoot at the most would probably be the ICEHOTEL in  JukkasjÀrvi, Sweden. I think that it would be fun to shoot here because of the uniqueness of visiting and taking pictures of a place that is created almost completely out of ice and snow. We could also get to capture the image of the structures that artists spend a lot of time on throughout the year, every year. I would expect to take photos that show off not only the creativeness of the structure, but also the exclusiveness of the objects created for the rooms.

To be able to go, you would need to wait until the winter season and then pay an admittance, depending if there is a group, that would cost roughly SEK 260 - 325 ($38.77 - $48.46) as well as the fee per-night if you were going to stay overnight, not including the travel fares. You should bring camera equipment that can withstand -5 degrees Fahrenheit. There is also a Warm building that can be booked to keep your equipment warm while you aren't shooting.
